TLW-Endorsed Candidates Win All But Two Races

The dust has settled on the election, and all but two TLW-endorsed candidates won. TLW Member Chanz Green was elected to the State Assembly, increasing the number of TLW members in the state legislature to six! TLW-endorsed candidate Tim Michels lost his bid for Governor as Governor Tony Evers secured his second term. Senator Ron Johnson defeated Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes in the hotly contested race for the U.S. Senate. Attorney General Josh Kaul narrowly defeated Eric Toney for his second term as AG.

Evers     51%

Michels  48%

Kaul       50.5%

Toney     49.5%

Johnson   50.6%

Barnes     49.4%

In a political rarity, every incumbent running on Tuesday won re-election. It is also rare to see the top of the ticket split parties, with Democrats winning the Governor’s race and Republicans winning the U.S. Senate seat. There will be a tremendous turnover in the coming legislature with 31 new legislators elected on Tuesday.
