Governor Tony Evers signed 2019 Senate Bill 83 into law

June 24, 2019

Governor Tony Evers signed 2019 Senate Bill 83 into law, allowing “Class B” licensees to sell more than 4 liters of intoxicating liquor per transaction for off-premise consumption. Under the old law, a “Class B” licensee could only sell intoxicating liquor in the original package or container “in multiples not to exceed 4 liters at any one time” for off-premise consumption. Senate Bill 83 removes this 4-liter cap and adds value to a “Class B” license. The TLW supported passage of this bill.

The bill’s provisions will take effect on Wednesday, June 26th.
